A brief (250-500 words) biography of yourself. You can include information such as your schooling, family, places you’ve lived, important musical and education experiences you’ve had, and what led you to want to become a music educator.
Purpose
A description (500-1,000 words) of why you want to be a music teacher and the impact you hope to make in the lives of your students and the music education profession. This statement of purpose is similar to your philosophy of music education. You may have already written one for another class. If so, you can use all or part of that as inspiration for your statement of purpose. Please include examples that illustrate and support your ideas.
